When listening carefully to this 808 State/UB40 "One In Ten" (Tommy Boy ‎– TBCD 553 ) CD Single with headphones, on track #3 "One In Ten (Fast Fon Mix)" I can hear some distortion on some of the the first few big beats around 0:03 and 0:06, and later some "scratchiness" sound distortion issues, particularly 1:24-1:40, 2:35, etc. I was trying to determine if the problem is my dinged-up CD copy, or if it is in the master. I re-tested and re-ripped this CD to .WAV format using Exact Audio Copy, each time with identical results and a "Accurately Ripped" report. Finally, I was able to find this track online at Grooveshark and listened to the streaming version of this track. The identical distortion exists on that release as well. It is clearly on the master, whether intended or not I cannot tell.
