Agustus Thelefant - Sole Expression FLAC album

Great production, surprisingly strong lyrics. It's smooth, hazy and well-suited for evening listening. It's clear Agustus is quite bright, and he's got a lot to say. He writes well.
The weakness here is that Agustus' delivery is monotonous. He's in need of a wider range of emotional delivery, and would benefit from nuances in verbal intonation. This would hook the listener into his deeper lyrical messages and visions more effectively, it's too easy to lose your grip on his rapping because of the aforementioned monotony.

If you're not a lyrics-first rap listener (I'm not, myself), then you'll vibe it with the right external atmosphere. If you're an underground conscious-rap fanatic and you haven't heard this yet, well, get on it. If you're looking for inspiration or samples from quality atmospheric production with a touch of jazz influence, then this album should provide some help.
