Alan Silvestri - Back To The Future - Original Score FLAC album

Considering the comments i am reading for the newest batch of this edition i feel like i got very lucky, i guess i could admit there is a very low volume surface noise considering there are a lot of quite parts in this album and a few mini crackles (more like static-sounding sporadic noise that is almost as faint as the super low volume surface noise). I've had picture discs that possess more surface noise than this so i do feel inclined to think that this is a quality release, on top of that the lacquer seems to have been cut by chris bellman and he is a fairly decent (probably even elite) engineer/technician, most of his work that i've been able to buy has satisfied my needs and this is no different (i know pressing plant is about half of the job and the lacquer cutting/remastering engineer are the other half, but still this guy seems to get his jobs pressed at good-very good pressing plants). In my personal opinion i would recommend this edition unless you expect it to be perfect which is very difficult to find (I don't think i even go over a 5% of perfect pressings in my collection). I'd obviously would also recommend cleaning every disc to the best of your possibilities before playback as it might have particles that could affect playback as it is in most cases (sometimes even for "premium" releases). So far in my early analysis this could easily be situated in my top 40% of better sounding albums i own, again nothing spectacular but not as disastrous as other comments suggest, i guess it can vary between copies.

Usually Mondo impresses me by the quality of the sound of their colored vinyls but not on this one it is very disappointing. Visually I am not a fan of transparent vinyls and I think there was much better to do in terms of color (especially since it is almost the same effects on the three BTTF release). Sound side it is catastrophic, the color effects on the vinyl seem thicker which is heard when the read head passes over and there is also a lot of background noise. I was forced to exchange the first vinyl because of a waste (glue?) on the first side and unfortunately the sound was not better once replaced (I specify that Mondo always has impeccable customer service, thank you !). In short if you are looking for more than a collector item I recommend the black variant because it is not listenable.

all new copies are defective. (surface noise, scratch, especially at the end of the side) I tried 3 copies and they were all like that. It is a pressing plant problem not the fact that the vinyl is transparent. For part 3, I tested a black copy stuffed with static pops and surface noise. What is scandalous is that Mondo continue to market this shit pressing ... Part 2 has no surface noise at home but a disgusting back breath. For part 3, I asked for a replacement for the LP1 which had two 10 second clicks. The replacement lp is worse with permanent surface noise. Hopefully a more audiophile label like music on vinyl will one day release these soundtracks in lp. The press factories in the USA are truly the worst in the world.

Anyone know what plant these were pressed at? Particularly the splatter design.

Does anyone know how many of these are going to be / are pressed?

Had mine turn up yesterday, very nice splatter design, still available on Mondo site but only as the black version, the electric splatter is sold out.
