Album of material not able to be included on the original Lughnasad CD in 2003. Includes a new remix of the original Lughnasad title track. Vocals by Rachel Hunter. Being one for originality, I thought Lughnasad II was a good title for this collection!

To get into the Lughnasad 'spirit', you need to imagine I was undergoing a deeply spiritual phase with a very strong connection to the Earth, to Nature etc. A good deal of subtle complexity went into the material. It didn't always make a good effort to attainment ratio though! Mnemosyne, For example, consists of samples of me singing vowel sounds in accordance to the sounds and corresponding notes the ancient Greeks gave to the planets. Some tinkering then gave me relative year and orbits, by means of filtering, LFO sweeps, you name it. Then I put these sequences on top, and they are the constellations of the Zodiac, as if mapped onto a 12x16 grid. I added sound effects for the right time of year (allegedly), and some additional subtle lines throughout. Really complex... but also really good for insomnia!! Or arty?.. Well, you choose. But if you're 'in the spirit' then you should enjoy the peaceful visions and calming effects of this music, because that is what it was really all about.
