Saphir: a-minor, 156 bpm, 07.02.1994

Many thanks to Studio 3 (Chris) for the mastering, the technical and managing support. The drum part, if I remember well, was an idea from Misi (studio Biel), so many thanks to him. Also to be mentionned: there was one track at this moment which was my favorite one, The Weeping Waste (from Renegade Legion); it greatly inspired me, so big thanks to his creator! About the track: it was the first under Artemis, at that time not too fast (156 bpm), but very long (11'07''). The cutting effect on the strings was done in a somehow unconventional manner: the sound was passed through the Roland 100M modular system and amplitude modulated by CV to VCA... A little bit complicated, but it worked

Helix: G-major, 190 bpm, 12.05.1994

Many thanks to Studio 3 (Chris) for the mastering, the technical and managing support ! A big thank also to Roman (Mühleisen) who was behind the idea of this track, and who allowed me to explore other fields.
About the track: if I remember well, Roman's idea was to recreate the feeling of a riot, protesters running away, the helicopter hunting them... The fast sequence running through the whole track came from the Minimoog, with it's razor blade sharp filters (typically around 4'45'')

Elegia: a-minor, 182 bpm, 23.07.1994

About the track: a more classical inspired theme (choir). The bass came from the TX-81Z (Yamaha) and the acid part from the Roland....JUNO-106 (and not the TB-303, which I never had)

About the track: no idea after so many years what inspired this "steamy" track, but why not... The arpeggios came from the PPG synth, with it's morphing wavetables

Dharmasala: A flat-major, 196 bpm, 21.05.1994

About the track: a little bit weird piece, starting with a tibetian monk incantation, then a step sequencer line from the ARP driving the Korg MS-50 module. Very fast and Hardcore inspired track. The title came from the CD with the tibetian music, but in fact the right name is "Dharamsala", like the city in North India were a lot of exiled tibetians are living, and were the monks were recorded. I think I read it wrong at that time, and it was engraved as Dharmasala for a while in my mind. A little bit embarrassing...but I let the original title
