Arvid Tuba - Att Måla Med Svartsjuka FLAC album

Arvid Tuba's only ever vinyl release was his last public release in 1991, but what a way to go out!

As an amateur artist he had gained quite a reputation in Sweden. I have heard the queue to a Nitzer Ebb concert chant Tubas songs in that same year and wherever I went in those days it was a mark of identification and identity to like, or atleast have an opinion about him.

It was at this time he let Börft publish this two track seven inch and he even recorded a promotion video for it (an experience he remarked upon in the song "Jag Är Så Rädd För MTV" on the extremely limited cd-release "Den Förlorade CD:n" shortly after).
This video was shown on Swedish national television (Sveriges Television) in a popular music show as a feature including an interview with Markus. This was presented alongside popular swedish artists like Joakim Thåström (then in Peace Love & Pitbulls). The video for "Att Måla Med Svartsjuka" can be seen at YouTube.

After this though, Tuba became silent. Not instantly but gradually as his creator focused on his education. The title song gained some hold on the fans and it was his last proper hit until he published a web page a few years later.

The titletrack is a classic Tuba pop song, mainly drum machine driven and with characteristicly stumbling lyrics in swedish. Contrary to earlier songs though, this one is very personal, about breaking up a relationship and with an overflowing stream of aphorisms.

The B-side "London's Way" is another odd theme for Tuba. It's a love song dedicated to rhe city in question. Another such similar to this would turn up in his odd later tracks, about Prague ("Den Felande Länken") but it still is quite a bit apart from Tuba's previous production.

It is even in quality to his entire production. But it marks both the top of his career and the decline of it and is also distinctively where the misfit character of Arvid Tuba becomes almost identical with the artist Markus Arvidsson. Perhaps even there's no longer a division between them.
