Sounds pretty much like a Sex Tags Mania release made a year before…… Here's the link : http://www.discogs.com/Don-Papa-Gold-2000/master/468831Or is it me? Please let me know what you think.

Kind of sounds a bit like the piano at the end of Theo Parrish's classic Overyohead from 1999 too. https://www.discogs.com/Theo-Parrish-Overyohead/release/4297

MEGA FREEDY

thanks! i just bought the Don Papa, and it clearly isn't the same! anyway, i needed to talk about that, my bad :)

Beanisend
it has similarities but it is no way the same...both are very good though.

Nice one!

The repress version has the labels put on the wrong sides of the vinyl. I have both versions in hand and can see the mistake. Westway is an incredible example of minimal house/techno. Baby Ford making something big out of a few small pieces. Westway is the track with the piano in it by the way.

As usual, Baby ford comes with another hypnotic Killer. "Westway" is simple but ingeniously effective and deep.It has the typical addictive "Perlon" kick combined with very simple but killer piano synth. The more you play this track, the more you like it, I can not say this for many other minimal productions?! Few producers can put so much emotion in a very tight budget of beats using very few musical elements in one track. This resemble his genius remix of {Leigh Dickson 'Praise' (Baby Ford Remix) 2002 on Qube Records}. "Tin of worms" is really dry after hours track, Maybe I will play it late in the morning to give it justice. This track comes with the usual kick, hi hat, drums with a dubby synth that goes on and on. I am not sure about this one ?

Westway is the reason I bought this but Tin Of Worms grew on me with that sneaky little swarm-of-bees synth that makes an appearance in the background. This whole record is designed around subtleties and the mastering is brilliant. I recommend to anyone with the patience to let this one soak in a bit. Take "Westway" down to at least minus 6% (120bpm) on the turntable. It sounds much better as a mellow opener type deep house track than it does as a 128-130bpm techno/tech house affair.

Actually "Tin of Worms" is the "party track" on this one.
