I have heard some bootleg tapes of the Bonzos' Peel Sessions and the one track here that doesn't stack up is "Can Blue Men Sing The Whites?" I am fairly convinced that this version is in fact from the mono version of the LP "The Doughnut In Granny's Greenhouse." I invite Bonzos fans to compare the two - am I correct in saying this? Of course the recording I've heard might not be a Peel Session recording but it has extra ad-libbing over the out-chorus and it sounds like Neil(?) saying "Go on if you must" at the start of the harmonica solo.

According to the Peel Sessions book (which does have a few errors) there was only one Peel version of the song. Many songs were done two or three times over the years and I have heard a version of "Mr. Apollo" with a very different recitation over the closing choruses: "Slightly below average intelligence? Forget about your head and beat up people in town or country. Yes! Roll your sleeves up. Impress friends. Flex at any opportunity. Beat up artists and intellectuals. Insult them. Get away with it!"
