Homophobic lyrics.. Boycotted at the time and to this day by many DJs.. Shame as the production is bangin'

Too bad I can't even understand the lyrics to Duppy Man so I was completely oblivious to the fact the lyrics are Homophobic XD

Both sick riddims!! Examples of Chase & Status's ability to make awesome tunes no matter what the BPM or genre. Duppy Man is a D&B/Jungle hybrid but smashes the dance, no matter where you are, the smallest house party or biggest warehouse - guaranteed!! They will be bawling for you to pull it up :) Top Shotta is a Grime track with a minimal almost Dubstep feel. The boys from Roll Deep toast their bars over the beats effortlessly & complement the tight snapping snares & gunshot edits, one word - DANK!!

Duppy Man is a hell of a tune - but it is sooo annoying when you're trying to mix it. There are 2 kicks and 1 snare in each bar as opposed to the usual 2 kicks/2 snares, plus the best stops and starts all the f*cking time. But if you do play it, then it is gonna sound GOOD.

Dude you gotta count tha bars!!

I love "Duppy Man"! One of my favorite jungle tunes I own. Capleton is the shit, I love seeing him in the jungle sound. Slow, almost tech-step drums get you swaying and nodding, but not so much for the jump-up crowd. Good tune to wind down for a bit but still keep that solid sound. "Top Shotta" is a strange track. I think it's considered grime or some form of UK garage or something. Slow, choppy beats with lots of bass and bizarre rapping. Definitely slows the party down, but cvn be fun. If I ever played this out, I wouldn't stay on it too long. Good, but too slow for me.
