Violet Rain AKA known as the DIZSTRUXSHON anthem in the UK.

In 1994 DJ M-Zone would play Violet Rain as the last tune in his set whilst performing at a rave called DIZSTRUXSHON held in the the north of the UK. Eventually this tune would gain a cult following due its unusual buildup style and soothing melodious notes, it was a great way to finish the night.
Speeded up to nearer 160bpm and accompanied by the legendary MC Natz, he would sing the familiar DIZSTRUXSHON lyrics to accompany the tune "On a friday night, when all the crew are jamming....My brain smells like ecstacy".

Some DIZSTRUXSHON ravers even believe that this tune was created by Full Effex themselves (The promoters of DIZSTRUXSHON) but this is of course untrue.

Violet Rain was played as the final tune at almost every DIZSTRUXSHON event from 1994 until around 2002 where afterwards it almost completely disappeared!

A brilliant old skool tune and also one of my favourites. One that definitely stirs up feelings in the heart of any DIZSTRUXSHON regulars.
