My ears! My ears! Ow! My ears hurt! Seriously though, this pathetic joke of a CD is terrible on so many aspects. Right from first track, the amount of missed notes sets the tone: listening to this will be an exercise in masochism. If you’re so inclined, then you’re certainly free to continue through the end. The utterly shameful and incompetent performance continues all the way.

It’s like listening to a third rate high school band rehearsing. No track is spared. The brass players are the worst offenders. But everyone else is bad too.

Did no one listen to this monstrosity before releasing it? By god... I have never in my life heard such horrendous orchestral playing.

The arrangements aren’t particularly successful either. There seems to be no connection between one track and the next. We jump from the original TV series to a Next Generation crew movie then back to the original cast... it’s stylistically jarring.

Worse though, the cuts and edits to the individual score cues remind me of someone cutting randoms bits and pieces of tracks and gluing them together without any editing.

Ugh...

The recorded sound is just about the only good part. It’s crisp and clear. But that may be part of the problem: you every single mistake and screw up.
