I have both the original and the repressing. and i can say for sure they are identical in that the hiss sound in the stab breakdown half way through is on the original aswell. The sound of the repress is amazing, dunno why anyone would say its bad, its a really good sounding repress

i agree. my copy has a sticker stating its a repress of the later slam tune till we meet again. i listened to it before i bought it and heard looking into the light. bought it and when i got home, noticed the quality was poor. still i only paid a pound.

I'm not convinced this is a true repress from the original metalwork, so be warned. The runout grooves contain different information to the original and I can hear typical vinyl hissing & crackling on certain quiet sections which are definitely a part of the recording (i.e. not caused by dirt or dust on my vinyl) which suggests to me that it's been digitally sampled from the original 12" and then pressed onto this.

My repress sounds excellent. I have the original to compare it to, and I haven't experienced the issues you describe.
