Dvořák's Symphony No. 7 was recorded on July 17 and 18, 1963, on both three-track 35mm film and half-inch three-track tape. Because of the present unavailability of the film, this CD has been mastered from the original three-track tape, as was the original LP, SR 90516. The Symphony No. 8 was recorded on June 19 and 20, 1959, on half-inch three-track tape and was originally released as SR90236. Both Symphonies were recorded in Watford Town Hall, outside London, using three Telefunken 201 microphones.

Only ORIGINAL MASTERS used for transfer to Compact Disc.
