Eat The Living - Braaiiins FLAC album

I knew little about Eat The Living and I bought this CD purely out of curiosity as I liked the artwork very much so... I grabbed it. Eat The Living deliver some heavy technical deaththrash with quite a distinctive crust "atmosphere" in it. Furthermore, some classic metal (!!!) elements are more than apparent! As quite insane or ridiculous as that might sound, they do combine their peculiar deaththrash, with multitudes of styles, some of them even close to power metal! Remarkable guitar work, remarkable musicianship from all members, it's amazing how many styles they use and how much solid the outcome is. Simply, this works brilliantly, making "Braiiins" a very, very intense album!

Based on a very technical death metal platform, Eat The Living are not afraid to experiment with their sound, and this will unfold to you track by track, but it's important, do yourself a big favor, and sit down and listen the whole album and more than once if possible.

Remarkable riffing, containing all aspects of metal as I said, pluralism in it's fullest extend, many different atmospheres and all these dressed with some ripping, and I mean it, ripping, female vokills! Every bit of "Braaiiins" is in perfect combination with the other and the listener will be pounded mercilessly with enormously elevated soundscapes of the death-land. The roller coaster will be huge.

What amazes me also in this album, is that the tracks are positioned magically, I don't know if this was actually on purpose or the track position is random, but one track by one, the album progresses in a very smooth way and as a whole, to an eventual explosion in the end! I really think that track positioning played a huge role and if this was by chance, well... they are a very lucky band!

I can easily say that I'm overwhelmed, I can listen the whole album as a single track again and again! You're going to realize that you just experienced something big, extreme metal in it's excellence. But be open-minded or don't even bother, pretend that this album never released. For all the others, after pressing play button, you will instantly get sucked in. From the playful appetizer "Wishmaster", which you may find hilarious, and until the end of the ride, namely "Fish Hooks", you will experience a cataclysm of sonic annihilation, an overcharged bomb-blast slamming on your face, which will definitely make your spine shiver.

A rain of sound layers, each containing different elements, is actually the music of Eat The Living, ten riff-overloaded and enormously exploding tracks are packed in this small piece of plastic, waiting to challenge you with all their power. Do remember this: listen the album as a whole. You have been warned!
