This is the album to start with. Not only does Freescha achieve the enviable accomplishment of creating an holistic album, but the tracks stand on their own as well. Even short interludes like "Bumble" are beautiful. If you're wondering what Freescha is all about, this is what got people hooked.

Standout tracks are Kite High, My First Robot, Henry Hudson, and Whales Wave Goodbye. Of course, standouts are hard to pick out -- the two tracks that I generally skip are "Every Shiney Night" and "Cherry Blue Boo," but that's only by themselves. Again, the album stands as a whole, which is especially impressive when you hear what they're working with -- minimal, fuzzy electronics, crunchy drums, the rare, low-in-the-mix vocoder. The only downside is that they haven't been able to top it!

I can't agree enough with the above comment. Freescha is a horribly underrated group. This album is of the highest status to me; beautiful melodies, spacey production and perfect vision all combine to create a masterpiece of an album. Highly recommended listening.

if i could give this release more than 5 stars i would. freescha's sound is otherwordly and oddly familiar at the same time. muted bass rumblings occasionally surface, beautiful melodies abound. i'm moved to a place beyond words.
