Not many musicians led such a diverse professional life as Austrian pianist Friedrich Gulda. It seems that his bread & butter was achieved as a classical pianist and arranger. But he also had two other very different lives. One as a jazz musician and the other as a pioneering avant-garde improviser. The latter is what we have here, a 1979 concert recording together with his then new-found partner in life, female drummer/singer Ursula Anders and bassist Günther Rabl. A lot of this is like a more minimal diversion of his work together with Anima Sound, with lots of ring-modulation used, a lot of instruments played by unconventional means, and Ursula later on doing a reasonably food impersonation of Anima's Limpe Fuchs. In all, an obscure curio that's well-worth a listen.
