Very beautiful to the eyes, but the sound... oh, well... lots of background noise, even a certain "hum" in silence between tracks. Wouldn't expect it on a brand new record. I don't really know the process of manufacturing a picture disc, but it seems that it may be involved. I can see the black vinyl on the edges, and in the picture area, some imperfections on the grooves. Not really a good sound overall, but still a pretty collectable item.

Delagamand

The grooves are pressed onto thinner plastic foils, above the picture labels, with the PVC acting as the base for the disc. So yeah, pretty much explains why picture discs sound bad in general.

Frosha

Beautiful pressing, but unfortunately it's only average at best or maybe slightly above average in terms of sound quality. Quite a bit of surface crackle most noticeable during any quieter part (even after multiple washings), and while the instrumentation is well-represented, it's somewhat of a muted/low-volume recording. It lacks punch. It's decent, but I'm certain there has to be a better pressing available.
