"The outrageous singer/model/actress was born in Jamaica in 1952. After moving from New York to Paris, and achieving stardom in Europe as a top fashion model in the mid 70's, she signed a recording deal with Island Records and recorded her first album in 1977.
With the release of the first album early in 1978, she immediately took to the throne as the darling of the world club/disco scene. Both Grace's popularity and critical acclaim grew throughout the world over the next few albums, and finally in 1981, she achieved her first international hit single with a cover of The Pretenders "Private Life".
Since then Grace has continued to record her reggae/funk slanted dance albums (9 albums in total), including this 1986 album "Inside Story", which incidentally features her biggest U.S. hit "I'm Not Perfect (But I'm Perfect For You)".
Grace has also made a name for herself as a lead actor in movies such as "Conan The Destroyer", "Vamp" and the James Bond film "A View To A Kill"."
