This 7" is NOT by Harrison but was recorded in Hinckley, Leicestershire 1982/3 by Mike Adams (gtr) and Matt Price (vcls, keyboards) when they were know as Strange Acquaintance. As the owner of the Hinckley Sound Centre record store I was aware of the interest in the duo and, with a colleague, spoke to the guys about helping them with the business side of their project. In the event, once Harrison was formed, the colleague attempted to highjack them and represent the band on the WAT label, although no recordings were ever made. ('WAT' was an acronym of Walker and Todd, my surname plus that of my colleague, an imprint that released 3 totally forgettable 7" singles before running out of (my) cash prior to Harrison.) When Harrison requested my input as a manager, my colleague was not happy and subsequently, once their '(There is) no refrain' single started to gain UK airplay in early 1984, decided to illegally licence the 2 songs by Strange Acquaintance, which were of cassette quality, for distribution in France. The sleeve design includes the skipping rope motif, drawn by me for the label imprint and used on the SKIP 1 single pic. sleeve, together with pictures from the first Harrison photo session on the reverse. regarding the songs themselves, each is a very strong example of techno-pop, 'Everybody Dance' is probably one of the best pop songs never officially released.
