Id - Where Are We Going FLAC album

A classic. An one hit wonder in some way. Surprised too that there is this only release? No counterfied? In that case. Still cheap to buy.

Is there an unofficial release of this album on vinyl????? I don't see anything here in discogs basis.... If somebody has the opriginal one is it possible to post photos of the matrix?

Some times life is such a coincidents. As I'm logging my life long collection tonight I added this album and it was commented on a month ago (trip) I went to high school with the he bass player Kevin at Glen Burnie High School in ..... Maryland. We both played music in different circles however he did give me the copy I listed. The music is a true reflection of the Maryland music scene during the mid 70's. Although there where many cover bands at the time this is all original....... No fat! Enjoy my friends.

If you're looking for more off-the-beaten track progressive rock, look no further than this American band called ID. They were apparently from Maryland, but I also saw sources state they were from Texas or New York. I can understand why many assumed they were from New York as they recorded their sole album there. Anyways, this album was recorded late in 1975, but for some odd reason it wasn't released until 1977. It's probably the classic example of the band either looking for a label to show interest in it (I'm sure lots of American major labels would have trouble with a band that emphasizes extended jams that wasn't the Grateful Dead, and even the Dead knew when to create short radio friendly songs), or scrape up enough money to get it released themselves. I am willing to believe the latter, as there seems to be no other albums on the Aura label, so it probably was the band's own label. What you get is some amazing guitar/Mellotron dominated progressive rock, with a large emphasis on jamming. This may not appeal to everyone, some may find the guitar playing a bit overpowering, but the band does calm down from time to time. The vocals aren't the high point, but they aren't bad either, they sound like your typical "American prog vocals". I have heard comparisons to Hawkwind, for some strange reason, but I also get reminded of the Dutch band FInch if Focus wasn't their primary influence, but space rock in general. There are the occasional calm Mellotron-dominated passages that make you wonder if they'll go Yes on us, but instead they kick into guitar jam overdrive. If you have low tolerance to jamming, this may not be for you, but for who don't have that trouble, this is an album that I can highly recommend.
