Indulgence - Eternal Damnation FLAC album

In the generic trends of Death Metal; here stays the first Indulgence's demo: Eternal Damnation. Born in one of the most traditional branches of the style, with a little but decided effort on Thrash Metal inclination, the band-self-made CD it's not a bad release.

Certainly they do the "a-orthodox-but-still-popular-way-to-bang-around" style, but the important here, ladies and gentleman, is that they do this quite well. Where many bands fail to achieve old results into the nowadays extreme metal world, and much more than many try to innovate the genre, failing epically (the oh-so-called deathcore of now). Indulgence show the security of bands who know to impose their technique above self facial burnings (sorry Mr. Benton) without lose the aspects that a old fan could easily recognize: a nice and well located blast-beat, fine solos, a murky and down guttural vocal. Some tracks fit very fine on shocking videos of the net, if i still being the only one to do that.

You see, so, we have a nice traditional effort here. And in this way, the band could improve still more. Most of the tracks are the outstanding cited above. Here and there, Thrash Metal sketches, a little sip on Black either... And its all. Take this album and release it on tape sixteen years back, old man! You will take one of the most brutal parades. Today, all this is very, very, widely known. This is the fail of these guys: little or no innovation. Their best track for me, is the last one, ranging well into Black Metal, then turning back to the regular mood.

They have a good material here, not kidding, really good. But there is still too much low long-sight. From the top end of the first track you are allowed to look to the remain of the album, and, as far i can concern, very few bands can do fast blast beat repetition without be boring.

Maybe some new listenings of Black, Grind, shitty-cores, folk, acoustic, noise, experimental and everything that they can buy or download can change their perspectives. Sure that i isn't a misogynist, but the tactic had been proved very successful: look to Greece, Septic Flesh! But let us pray for they don't take too much on this way, we don't want a new Xysma (they are not that bad, but i prefer the grinding). The old ways are cool, ok, but is not too late for some reveries. Binoculars to the visionaries!

Final congratz to the album conception. Not a ugly cd-r in a fucking plastic case. Buuuuh! A nice printed cd (better than MANY full-lenghts that i have) with a 4 page booklet with cool artwork and lyrics! Whoa, yeah!
