Joshua White - 1933 - 1941 FLAC album

I was able to obtain the original vinyl from Germany, which had the numerical ID's of the song tracks. The surprising thing was that a record from 1928, a year earlier than he said he was in NY, but that is the number, on Victor, sounded great in comparison to the obviously second hand copies sent to Germany in 1937. De Paur confirms it is from 1937 on the Roulette Songs of New Nations. HMM. The strange thing is that nobody is asking about Bill White. He had been with other bands, incuding Benny Goodman in 35, and a hit song about Bill White was reprised by Judy Garland in her last performance at the Palace in the 60's. In one of his Chain Gang albums he said HE SANG JOHN HENRY in 1939, which would have been for the World's Fair Exposition by Kurt Weill, yet I called the family from the number on the disc put out by the Smithsonian. Electra has altered the album or not released the original as specifically stated by Josh White himself, while they all demand that it was Paul Robeson who sang in 1940 which is totally untrue. The Dance Calinda Album was a re-release as well, a different Title, and before the Infantry Chorus, so EARLY. It is a blue seal album from Holland calling itself Mercury, but with clear Columbia numbers not Mercury numbering systems. Interesting too as each item gave the history of the songs. Josh said he was on Vogue "in France" in the 40's, why not enlisted? UM, sorry, Vogue was EAST GERMAN, and during the WAR, so the only way it got to France was because of occupation. A lot of people's works were stolen and sent over -just watch the Untold History of the US and you will know. But when one does this voluntarily, it is admitting a pretty bad thing.
