Julie Plug - Starmaker FLAC album

Bright, nicely produced power pop with smooth, playful vocals from Des de Leon. She doesn't have ballad voice, so the slower songs aren't as interesting, but with 12 full songs to choose from, there's an entire album of brilliant earworms with plenty of layers to keep you entertained. The whole album is upbeat and summery with a solid rhythm section and enough guitars to completely satisfy. Recommended if you enjoy bouncy, female-led guitar pop with just enough grit to keep rocking. Their 2002 sophomore album "Whatever You Wonder" is also worth picking up--more subdued, but still solid all around.
