Lawyer - Unity FLAC album

'Lawyer' is Horace Martin, a quality roots singer who's re-recorded the song a number of times through the years, though none ever coming even close to the Black Ark recorded original. Had it on an cassette, having taping an episode of Steve Barnard's 'Reggae Time' show on Radio London (it may have been another 'stand in' presenter, Barnard having been replaced around that time) broadcast back in early 1978 where it was featured it as the debut track, though failing to get name of artist/title (in those merry ol' days I only wanted the music minus the chat). Ended up waiting 'til the late 1990s before I was finally put out of my misery, when someone fortuitously played the 7" at a record fair I was attending. Sounds even better today than I remember in my early teens 40 years ago when quality roots reggae was being churned out by the bucket load!

The “this is a message” lyric sounds so much like Delano Tucker’s song Gather Israelites. Also, isn’t Lawyer Max Romeo?
