Notes

Despite the catalogue number, this is the FIRST EVER record to be pressed by Disco Magic UK.
It was pressed at the same time as DMX004.
There were 12 copies made and were given free to independent distributors in London (one copy remains in DIsco Magic UK's archives). Side A has the standard, white, early DMUK Promo generic label; Side B has a white label.
They were pressed from the original plates of the Italian releases, in the same factory as the original releases, so they are exactly the same as these:

DMX003 Side A = MIX 733 Side A

DMX003 Side B = MIX 395 Side A

This can be seen on the record itself where the original catalogue numbers have been scratched out (althogh still perfectly visible) and DMX003 A and DMX003 B have been etched.

Using the original plates had two advantages: 1- The costs were substanially reduced by not having to do another mastering and cut. 2- The customer would be guaranteed the exact same quality as the original Import releases but at an affordable UK price.

In the case of this (and other promo DMUK releases) the quality is in fact considerably better than the original imports because they were pressed with a new stamper, and for much smaller quantities that the imports. (Vinyl plates wear out after about 300 presses and should be replaced with new ones for longer runs but often, to save time and money, some companies go up to 1000 presses from one plate)

Distributors in London were not interested in this record and Disco Magic UK decided not to go ahead with a full release.
It would appear that the only copy still existing is in the Disco Magic UK archives.
