Lhasa - Volume 3 FLAC album

This kind of music did not age well, I'm afraid.Perhaps only those who discovered it back in the days can fully enjoy it.

This is a TOP oldskool Belgian techno release from 1991, all 3 tracks are dark, psychotic, hard, raw and with complex layering, that gives you high energy. ''Taurus (Move Out)'' is one of the best techno tracks ever, and the other two are as equal as great.I cannot understand what is all about the highly overrated ''the attic'' from ''Lhasa ‎– Volume 1'', very boring track and too new-beat-ish for my taste. Same goes to ''Lhasa ‎– Volume 2''But ''Lhasa ‎– Volume 3'' is pure quality, one of my favorite releases from this label.

Lhasa ‎– Volume 3 ,Just like Volume 1 (The Attic) Has a tune that just rocks straight to the mind..Taurus (Move Out) does just that!A great period of my life! True European Techno!

Hi Alain... I guess its a case of challenging that inner child which is always there with us no matter what age we are now! And I totally agree with what you identified! Most producers (but not all) today make music abit too digitally clean.. It's lacking the grit! I've started going back into the 1989-94 era of techno, acid, kick drums and breakbeats! Why? Because it's so damned good and has stood the test of time! Innovative and phuturistic today even though it was decades ago!I shall be interested in what kind of sound you will championing???? Though i took a very long time off from anything music related i am charmed by the interest people take in my releases made many moons ago , especially since some will be reissued with probably extra tracks on them , i challenge myself to output some new stuff , can a 50 year old challenge it's former 23 year self person again ?? I miss adventurous and personality from today's releases compared to what musicians did in the 80's and early 90s , and with technology that was far more embryonic than today's unlimited recall systems , personally for me it's the only way to produce , only midi , embryonic hardware , and limit's , and a brain trying to express feelings .. ,

Hi lhasa67 .Firstly it's always great to have a reply from the actual producer/artist. It's also great to hear what you went through at the time and only you can shuttle us back in your own personal time machine!You talk of a royalty advance that you managed to avoid which makes it even better! (What the Royals have to do with music I shall never know haha?)Even though Lhasa ‎– Volume 3 isn't included in this series, I hope that on this particular release from them that you got some well earned (albeit probably small) cash https://www.discogs.com/Various-TSOB-The-Sound-Of-Belgium-0110/release/5164180 ..Anyway as mentioned before two great Eps that have in my opinion stood the test of time.Peace ;)

thank you for the love , this ep was recorded at my homestudio (previous releases were recorded at studio impuls and square brussels ) , i was tired of lugging my gear so skipped the studio bit , wich also saved royalty advance since that is what a record company saves on in the first place , namely taking in 'recording cost' from your first payment!
