One of Lord Melody's most obscure singles, released on the Jamaican mento label Motta's Recording Studios, which may account for its rarity.

Estimated release date of 1955. Melody recorded a version of Boy Days for Vitadisc that year, and often recut songs multiple times for different markets rather than risk shipping master tapes/stampers.

This 45 reissue probably dates from several years after the 78 but it is not exact as to when.

Melody would go on to recut The Whistler and Boy Days several times. The Whistler was recut as Blackbird.
