I understand where Jarren is coming from below, but I think the sax is entirely appropriate in this song! Incredible track.

This is one of those classic Italo tracks, but as much as I adore Italo Disco I really hate Saxophones in anything but Jazz.So to hear a big, rasping Sax in the middle of a synthy dance track really kills it for me. Stone dead. It's a personal preference, but speaking personally I think Saxophones belong in Jazz and should be KEPT there.

No one needs to hear this opinion. Please do us a favor and delete.

That’s a hot take. Maybe keep guitars in rock music while we’re at it too?

Pj Marcus - ciccalaccacocco is another good one. Btw I love jazz! Saxophones in jazz too, and for the record if played well sounds awesome in italo plus many other genres of music. Understand it is opinion to dislike it in italo but just simply unfortunate.

Well count me as the one who jumped ship into the icy water below...

I love saxophone in 80's music and anyone who doesn't isn't really on board.

I respect your opinion man, but I just have a real distaste for saxophones in anything but Jazz. It's not even something I can elaborate on, it's just a real gut feeling. Each to their own of course.

In general I agree with your reviews, but here I must strongly disagree:with Mya & the Mirror, we are not strictly in Italo-disco territory but also in the Italian new-wave scene, where the saxophone was a popular instrument.I personally find the use of saxophone here totally appropriate and not at all gratuitous. To say that saxophones should only be used in jazz is like saying guitars should only be used in rock..Both can be used with restraint to add another dimension to otherwise synth-based dance music.btw some other GREAT italo-disco songs using saxophone: Diego - "Walk in the Night", Fockewulf 190 - "Body Heat", Rene' - "Don't Hurt Me" and no doubt countless others.
