My copy has a lot of pops and hisses on playback. A little disappointing, given the quality of the packaging.

I agree that this is one of the better sounding pressings that Waxwork has released. Compare this to say, Shock Waves, and it's night and day. That said, it's not perfect. There is still underlying surface noise in a few spots, particularly where the score is quiet. But it's limited and not overbearing, which is nice. This score is killer and I'm really glad I snagged a copy. I hope this one sells out for them. Where this release really shines is the artwork and design of the cover. I don't know what they coated the outside of the gatefold with but it has a felt-y kind of texture to it. It's unsettling, which is very fitting for this particular release. The liner notes are also a nice surprise. All in all, this is a fantastic release from Waxwork. If this is going to be their benchmark moving forward then I am stoked about things to come.

Totally agree with you, point by point: dead silent grooves; beautiful packaging, both the art and the cover (the texture feels great!); and I'll add amazing service from Waxwork. The wax is also as clear as water. I have another "clear" vinyl but you can barely see through.Cheers from Chile.

Skrimpak

This is easily the best pressing that Waxwork has put out. There are large segments of this that are almost silent and then build to a whisper, and even on swirled colored vinyl, all I get is just blackness from everything that isn't the quiet creeping tones. If you are reading this, don't change whatever it is you are doing.
