Did you ever write an album review wishing that this could be the first review you wrote for an artist?

That’s the case with this one by Neal Casal, ‘Anytime Tomorrow.’ I keep thinking that I’m going to find a couple of songs that are less important than others, or some songs that are so utterly perfect they will require special attention ... but all of the songs are great, all of the songs belong, all of the songs stroll one into another with a flawless country flavor, regaling love found, lost, and the resignation that this heartbreak is really going to hurt badly.

Neal has all the hooks, all of the guitar riffs, and having seen him live, he let’s his guitar do the talking, instead of making the guitar player faces. He’s just a real guy, who just happens to have written some great songs that rest in your heart ... and if you’re lucky, they may drift in on an evening breeze, as you brush the hair from your sleeping lover’s eyes, and swell you soul with the satisfaction of recognizing a perfect moment.
