Notes

From December 98 through January 99 I wandered around Bali with a portable DAT and stereo condenser mics recording street processions and performances. All music comes from villages in and around Ubud. Ambient sounds come from surrounding islands. The occasional clipping is due mostly to being in the middle of things and never knowing when the next clash of the cymbals would come. And, since all of these recordings were made outdoors, there is a proliferation of motorcycles buzzing through the background. Enjoy!
