At first I was quite reluctant to write anything positive about the technical aspects of this album. Given the fact that the recordings all lack depth, dynamics and detail. Noel’s performance however is always very good and this record is no exception. It is this record in fact where my Audio Technica ATH-M50X headphones failed....sonically that is. Too harsh, no details and fatigueing. The album came alive once I set up my ancient B&W’s DM-7’s again. And what a relief, the album sounds like a record should sound. So the DM-7’s are here to stay for a while. The vinyl is very quite, perfectly centered and flat without any warps. Don’t know what plant pressed it though. It is the EU pressing that comes with the cd packed in a plastic sleeve. Cat. #: JDNCLP18. Bar code: 5052945018010. Too bad the record comes in a paper inner sleeve without lining. Tracks 9 and 10 were damaged so I will have this record replaced. The album grows on you each time you play it. Masterpiece!
