Oronzo De Filippi - Meccanizzazione FLAC album

This is the ultimate, the irresistible, the most extraordinary Oronzo De Filippi record ever! A true masterpiece in every way. If I had to keep only one De Filippi record, this would be it.

I read about this almost mythical record on Waxidermy about 10 years ago. I think back then nobody even realized how great this is. Also for me, it took some time to understand the greatnes.

Magic is in my ears when I hear the brisk and melancholic melodies that describe industrial and scientific settings in the best way you will ever hear on a library record. The mind-melting harpsichord wrapped inside stone cold modal jazz and bossa nova compositions make you go berserk! Some compositions are accompanied by unusual bongos in the background and small details like this make it a worthwhile record, that you want to listen over again and again.

For me the vibe on Meccanizzazione is very similar to Ritmo Dell'Industria N°2 and there seems to be a connection between these two. The reason is simple. These two deal with the same topic and sometimes I think that some of the session players behind these two records might have been the same.

Some of nowadays sky high prices for library records are questionable and an issue for itself but for me, it is absolutely no wonder that in 2018 two copies sold for the most insane four digit sums that I know of.
