Parker & Hanson - Let Me Be FLAC album

One of the finest examples in the genre of progressive trance. Parker & Hanson hit a home run- maybe a grand slam- with this track. Why? It's all about the "build" in a tune when laying out a DJ mix set, and "Let Me Be" is perfection when it comes to defining a "build" in mood and energy of a set. The intro starts off innocently enough, but layer upon layer builds with a tremendous melody that loops and becomes more entrained into the song. Just when the melody peaks, a break builds in and a heavenly vocal pops out of nowhere simply repeating the title of the song. The song roars back to life during the peak and doesn't really let go, allowing for the elevated mood to continue into the next song mixed. Based on the limited amount of "haves" of this release on discogs, apparently this song never got the credit it deserved, despite appearing in one of Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise compilations.

The B side remix doesn't try to equal the energy of the main vocal mix but still gets the point of the original vocal version across without losing much.
