Quality Dope Tracks - Ruff N' Tuff EP FLAC album

In 1993, Great Asset, a major distributor of Hardcore went bust. Their remaining stock was divided into quarters and sold off at auction to various bidders. One of those quarters happened to end up in my hometown of Hull, bought by a local 2nd record dealer. After years of trawling through records in the shop itself and after much badgering, the owner eventually agreed to let me travel to the lock-up to have a look through the stock for myself. To say this was an old-skoolers wet dream is an understatement. It was an Aladdin’s cave of unopened boxes of stock stacked right to the roof, with multiple copies of tunes that never made it to the record shops. Being obsessive as I am, I made it my mission to look through every record in the place, and I’m glad that I did, because hiding right in the corner in one of the very last boxes was a single copy of this extreme rarity.The fate of all the other copies is a mystery - It’s likely that they were within the other ¾ quarters of stock which were distributed to other dealers around the country. It could be that they ended up in a skip years ago, but I like to think that it’s also equally likely that they may still be out there, in someone’s lock up who has no idea what they are actually sitting on. Maybe one day it will be the turn of another lucky soul to stumble along this stash, and this release along with others shall finally see the light of day. We can only hope...

Aye, Dream World is ridiculous! It took me a few trips to get through all the leftover stock. It's probably a bit misleading in my comment when I say about "tunes that never made it to the shops"; pretty much everything in there I have seen available elsewhere, it's just that this portion of stock never made it to the shops.The only other thing I picked up that I have never seen anywhere else is the double sided copy of Pure Daze 'Out of My Head' which has the Mr Men samples (The copy uploaded to Discogs is my copy). Other than that, I swear I once found a copy of Spare Beat #7 which is the missing release from the catalogue, but I returned it to the stacks without realising it was missing/rare because it turned out to be House when I gave it a listen. If it wasn't the missing #7, then it would have been #5 which is the High Society release. Either way it was a massive error on my part not holding onto that one. It's probably still in there somewhere, I was never abe to find it again on subsequent visits though...
