I notice also, that on Amazon, apart from the 2011 box sets, they also offer later editions of the 'same' product (for the cd box set 1 there is a "ltd edition" 2014 set available). Does that imply it is not a limited edition?

These are great box sets to have. It’s nice to bring all the works of Queen together like this (in three box sets). I enjoyed listening to Shear Heart Attack again – it sounds surprisingly fresh, quite punky, and in a way, undated. The bonus EPs are also nice to have; in the booklets are interesting snippets about these extra tracks, that provide a bit of extra perspective.

QUESTION for the Queen Cognoscenti out there:
The UK box sets are now quite expensive to buy, whereas the US box sets are available at decent prices. What are the differences between the UK and US box sets? For instance, I notice from looking at the pics of the UK box set 1 (the first five albums) there is a gold band on the black slipcase. Also, the CD plastic cases for the UK box sets (I think) are the round-cornered, higher-spec cases. Are they the only differences between the UK + US box set editions?

I take it the recordings for both the UK + US editions are exactly the same 2011 versions “meticulously re-created using the finest modern analogue and digital technology from the original first-generation master mixes”? So, there are no audio differences between the UK + US editions?
