Rae & Christian - Nocturnal Activity (Sleepwalking Remixed) FLAC album

Rae & Christian's SLEEPWALKING get the full remix treatment with NOCTURNAL ACTIVITY, with quite a number of luminaries taking the honors. Atjazz, for instance, give "Not Just Anybody" a more positive mix, while maintaining the mellow tone of the original. The gorgeous "Vai Viver a Vida" gets a upbeat funk remake from Tom & Joyce, while Truant applies some peppy Latin jazz to the same track so that Tania Maria can cast her bruja spell. Bushy gets funky and blippy with "Ready to Roll," and Only Child brings a perkiness to "Trailing In The Wake." The Nextman ups "It Ain't Nothing Like" to the next hip-hop level, while Groove Armada do the same with "Let It Go," though with weaker results. Luckily, the slow digital groove of Dual Control's take of "Salvation" help lift the album up. Better yet, Rae & Christian also present "Flashlight," a cover of the Parliament track, given a modern rub, replete with a nice beat, and their own take on "Wake Up Everybody" gives the track an additional thoughtfulness. Despite all the talent on display here, you've still got to bow to the masters.
