I'm unsure if it's just my copy and a bad dub or what. This tape, my tape one side is more distorted and quieter than the other. Both sides have a layer of distortion that cuts through the mix.

I think that amount of variation was the point, as it makes 'every copy unique' and supported the original description that this was some insane jazz band in the jungle, back before it was clear that this was fernow. This is essentially a noise tape, and the initial releases existed within or at least in tribute to that culture: DIY, handmade, amateur dubbed, anonymous, punk. Barely existed.

I'm sure it is a problem with the Tape cause if you listen to some mp3 Versions of this song, it sounds way better and the low bass is really nice. Not easy to find a Version in a good quality. I had one that sounded good but was mono and another one that sounded not as good but also not as bad as the real distorted one. Same problem with "Taking Place In The Foyer". I really like RSE but this sucks. A nice flac, cd or vinyl re-release would be nice.
