My original review from 2002: "The cover of this album says it all! Rick Grossman is "Hot Romance"! Is it just me, or could you see a fake Behind the Music™ starring Will Ferrell As Mr. Grossman?? This is definitely an outsider album. Rick croons to the ladies in an imaginary bedroom audience in his psuedo-seventies casanova voice, smooth as hot buttermilk. My mother says "This guy has NO CHARISMA". Yet, somehow, I disagree. If, at least in his own mind, Rick Grossman is the ultimate ladies man. If you don't believe me, listen to these samples of his lyrical genius. P.S. Some of the band can't keep a steady beat and has problem with transitions. It's HI-FI-larious!"Since finding this album in a thrift store more than 14 years ago, I have become obsessed with finding out more about Rick Grossman and the making of this album. I'm a huge fan and would love to know if Rick Grossman ever made any additional music. If you were involved in this recording or were related to Rick, please leave some comments to shed more light on this great record.Sadly, Rick was stabbed to death by his son in 1996. Grossman indeed released more music. Several albums, according to his nephew Luke. I found one of them, released a year before his death, called Twice Tonight.
