From the liner notes: "No, this record is not a burglar alarm. But it will create an illusion that there is a watchdog (...). When you go out, leave Sebastian playing at a moderate volume (test for right setting by listening outside with doors and windows closed). Your record player should be set on "repeat". You may want to put your record player or stereo set on a timer so that Sebastian will appear at intervals (...). For variety, you can adjust your turntable or record player to 45RPM, and PRESTO! You've got a convincing middle-size dog sound."
