Despite a perfectly satisfactory plate sales (gold for Just Enough Education To Perform (2001)) there is as yet no real chemistry between Netherlands and The Stereophonics. And that while the band in a singer Kelly Jones has with a gravelly white throats, where Rod Stewart at moving away and live pretty convincing. In England they managed to massively to break through the old fashioned way, by many years the clubs to play flat. Those few times a year they do to our little country is not enough for a complete Dutch breakthrough, before that is missing the Jones and his men to the much needed flair. On their fifth album You Gotta Go There To Come Back again earn them bonus points for commitment but a really brilliant song is not on there. The quiet pieces (Getaway, Maybe Tomorrow, I Miss You Now) are closest to near but usually deliver The Stereophonics solid timber-framed: well-designed especially but also a little boring. Hard-working rock bands are the best as they are hard at work. On stage so.
