Steve Poindexter - Short Circuit FLAC album

I recall reading about this record in the old [excellent] "Under One Sky" fanzine put out by Heather Heart in NYC in a small section they had on ultra-rare, "holy grail" type records and was beyond pleased when I managed to score a copy at Gramaphone Records in Chicago after reading this.Now, this was my first introduction to Trax pressings, which you might have heard could be a little subpar, which is the understatement of the century: I don't think this thing could have been scratchier and noisier if someone had taken a sandblaster to it first -- just awful, and completely unlistenable, and it's amazing someone thought they could get away with putting this sort of thing out there for public consumption (although apparently, Larry Sherman DID get away with this.) As far as the music itself, it's definitely one of those "missing link" type records that bridges the gap between Chicago house, harder Detroit techno, with even the characteristic Poindexter proto-rave-hardcore type elements. Worth checking out for beat archaeologists, but I don't consider the Trax pressing quality to be in any way "charming".
