Sunny Day Real Estate are another rock band of four white guys. They formed in January 1992, recorded two 7"-es and added Jeremy in April '93, much to their delight.
SDRE bring to mind such bands as Arcwelder, U2 and Fugazi, but with an anthemic, desperate and often pretty sound all their own. They've been called "emo-core (that's emo for emotional) arena rock", which makes some sense, except that we are not particularly crazy about emo-core or arena rock. But these guys are the best band we've seen in a long time, so go figure.
