If Rob Younger made punk-rock history with Radio Birdman, ‘tis indeed with the ever evolving New Christs that he really perfected the might of his lyrical and sonic vision. Oh, and explored the darkest meanders of his own voice, too. Ever since the early singles and the classic Distemper LP, Rome has burnt daily chez Younger, yet maybe never with such furious clarity as that witnessed on Lower Yourself.
