You know what was cool when they were called DOWNPOUR? they didnt rensemble too much CONVERGE. Yep. Their latest output "Footsteps Over Our Heads" showed a progression from the EP, they were becoming an interesting Mammoth of screamy metallic hardcore, fastcore, thrash, and i would say chaotic parts, (dunno why but i sorta make a connection with PHOENIX BODIES for this latest part) . There was definitly more than one reason to say that after that record they would've become something way more interesting. But…. THE HOPE AND GLORY (or simply HOPE & GLORY) tried too much to put a step further in the direction where CONVERGE were heading. Especially on the fast/chaotic parts. There are some progressive-like moments here and there, there's definitly the power behind the glorious (pun intended) aural and sonic assault. But! For some reason it becomes hard to follow after a while, like it's definitely an incestous magma of style that doesnt flow like it should. So for me is a 3,5 stars out of 5 to me. Hit or miss? You decide.
