Did any version of this released in the US have the 15 minute version (14:31 or thereabouts)? I only see the UK versions above containing that version.

Black_Hawk_Down.
the track "sugarhill groove" to my ears seems to be borrowing heavily from "Glide" by the band called "Pleasure" (1979) https://www.discogs.com/Pleasure-Glide/release/204398 take a listen and you will see what i mean! id recognize those licks anywhere

This album includes one of the all-time classics of hip-hop: "Rapper's Delight" - a disco/funk flavored party track, which is also known as the first commercially successful mainstream hip-hop single. The album contains some disco/funk/r&b-tracks, and then some early hip-hop. Although nothing as spectacular the hit single, still an allround record for good times. "Sugarhill groove" has been sampled by the Beastie Boys.
