Information from artwork:

Timelapse was an experience, neither contrived or induced. It came unbidden, opening Michael to a mystical reality co-existing within our everyday lives. Because of the nature of the experience, Michael was involved at two different levels; one of being totally involved in the experience and the other of writing it in a poetic form. The words used here are adapted from the original poem. It took several years for Michael to come to terms with the experience, a time of expansion and acceptance.

He then came into contact with Kim Ryrie one of the founders of Fairlight Instruments, designers of the first electronic instrument capable of performing truly ‘natural’ sounds through a process of ‘sound sampling’.

Kim then contacted his friend Mars Lazar who he describes as one of the worlds greatest contemporaries on the Fairlight CMI (computer musical instrument). The music came together over a 12 month period in Fairlights own recording studio in Sydney Australia, demonstrating many capabilities of the instrument for the first time. In fact apart from the narration every sound you hear is produced by the Fairlight.

Treenie, who speaks the words felt a strong empathy with the experience and her soft compulsive voice became the final necessary ingredient to this remarkable production.
