For those who miss Traumer doing techno - he now uses Roman Poncet alias for techno and Traumer for this minimal house style.

Snake Rocking
undertones of Dorisburg - all round mint EP from the flawless TRAUMER - 5 STARS must buy

Open your mind Isma! without any drugs... just by the music!

Arcanefire
i don't do drugs and maybe this is why i find this record boring...Sometimes drugs can turn something boring into something really funny or something flat into something really deep. However i really like his Romain Poncet stuff even if i'm sober!

Throw her heart
Tambur is amazing ! Good to start a set with this

This guy is a wicked techno producer and DJ that has collaborate with DJ Deep... But common this "gettraum" project is just really boring, gettraum001 was really flat (if you're not high on ketamin) and the second release is worse. Don't know if it's a challenge for him to get into the Arpiar... "minimal" circle, but it isn't necessary as his techno can be much stronger than the minimal "K" hype. Although good things has been released lately from Romania, Petre Inspirescu's work for exemple.Do what you do best, don't try to be all things to all people.

this comment didn't age well. any more foolish hot takes on the current scene?

What are you even going on about? This is a quality piece of minimal music, not everyone has to like it but you can't be saying he "trying to be him or her" cos clearly this man is talented. Also just because a producer makes a great techno track does that mean he is not allowed to express themselves through other genres? TBH fuck 'genres' we should all stop trying to label or categories every release... let the music speak to you regardless of genre

@ kunguituh6 : i have nothing against artist doing different sort of stuff, i actually think it's good thing to be open and flexible. However this project does't sound authentic, we've heard this stuff 10 years ago it was really popular and fresh by the time and now it's back with the yoyaku and other labels hype with almost nothing fresh... We can talk about taste, and style and everyone has its point of view... but i bet you this isn't going to age well and this isn't timeless stuff. I might be wrong but we'll see, time is the master.Regarding Romain Poncet, well this guy makes also techno, and we've also heard this kind of techno in the 90's but there is some magic in his production, very deep, simple and efficient on the dance floor. I think he is talented really, on the top of being skilled. He make techno with talent and makes "micro" house (or whatever) with skills. The gettraum project is really well produced but has no soul to me. It doesn't sound natural. "Do what you do best, don't try to be all things to all people" doesn't mean : do one single job in your life, play one single sport in your life but if you are good at something, talented or gifted, you have to be embrace it and make the most of it. For example Michael Jordan was really talented in basket ball but he wanted to play baseball actually at the point that he stopped his carrier, and went for baseball, he tried hard but didn't work. Some of you will say, anyway you do want you want in life, but the question is why do want it, what's the real reason? For Michael Jordan, it appears that his father was a big fan of baseball more than basket ball, and at the end he probably wanted to do it for his father. Maybe Traumer's father or girlfriend is a fan of micro house lol, anyway as i said time will tell if this is that good or just a hype...

Man, it's David Guetta's decision to go where he wants with his music. Honestly couldn't care less about any of the tracks you linked!I love this gettraum series, as I also love the past stuff. I don't think an artist should be limited by his past work and by the expectations of his fanbase. You are totally allowed to comment if you don't like it, but I think it's stupid to question the reasons why he is creating in a different way. Just that :)

These ep's he's releasing on his own new imprint have a very distinct sound in terms of production technique. It's ok if you're not a sound engineer of any sorts, but these ep's are really quality piecea of electronic music in it's own way. But yeah, it's not accessible or understandable for everyone. Apart from that in Tambur he presents a track which doesn't use any harmonic content to build the tension but solemnly drums and percussion in a fashion that is, again, very distinct from any other kind of track that would try and use the same concept.

Or maybe he can do as he wants to, because he likes to do it. You're entitled to your opinion, if you don't like it, it's cool. Just don't quite understand the whole "don't try to be all things to all people", like he is doing this to please someone in particular..
