U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday FLAC album

Sometimes submerged in the post-modern electronic World, we forget about our old times and the environment we used to share, the music we used to listen and the places where we used to go. A good example of a landmark for the first half of the eighties lies in “Sunday Bloody Sunday”, a real Rock anthem who was immediately incorporated on the charts of any local party you could imagine in your neighborhood. It was exactly this quintessential Rock-pop tune of intense, dramatic aura, very well represented by the guitar strings and Bono’s vocals that catapulted the Irish band U2 to a level of World pop stars of Rock. Credits must also be given to the produced Steve Lillywhite.
The lyrics brought a profound, emotional and a humanist message that played a key-role as a criticism toward the religious fanatic acts, such as terrorism and wars – and it’s not difficult to understand why it was conceived – you just have to imagine how was the situation in these religious disputes focus, such as Ireland – which could be seen in the endless engagements between the catholic Irish Republican Army, also known as I.R.A., and the North-Ireland and British protestant governments).
The quote “Broken bottles under children’s feet / Bodies strewn across the dead end street / But I won’t heed the battle call / It puts my back up / Puts my back up against the wall” gives us a clear idea of the authors’ intentions, and reinforce the idea of a World based on the human rights, with a strong desire for a more tolerant and peaceful society, away from these fanatic and violent mobilizations misguided by the ambitious extremist groups.
The other two songs of this EP, "Two Hearts Beat As One" and "New Year's Day" got amazing versions by the legendary François Kevorkian - a top remix-professional.
