I think this is an excellent remaster. Deep, hard rocking bass. Punchy drums. Great midrange with superb synth and guitar detail. Open soundstage, atmospheric imaging, clean vocals, crisp treble, balanced well. For a remaster, I find it extremely enjoyable. Optimal also did an above par job pressing this; flat centered and not a lick of surface noise. A very respectable reissue imo. And for $20! Granted you could probably get a near mint original for around the same price...but this one's white!

This is the first Ultravox album that I ever heard and it grew upon me even more when I rediscovered them with the Rage In Eden album later on. It's different than the Ure era but a remarkable album that failed commercially back in 1978.
In short - the music has been compromised as on most of recent years re-issues / "re-masters". I'd go with an original vinyl copy from UK / Scandinavia or maybe the early 80's Japan edition. The novelty w white vinyl is nice, but that's it. Artwork is a bit blurry as well.
